An Interview with Mahmoud Laqmoush, Senior Partnerships Manager
Tell us a bit about you and your role at AMBOSS
I’m a Senior Partnerships Manager in the B2B division at AMBOSS. I’m based in Riyadh and cover the Middle East & Africa. I have the pleasure of working with an incredibly international, talented team, to empower all doctors to provide the best possible care on campuses and in clinics.
How did you land at AMBOSS? Why did you decide to join?
Prior to AMBOSS, I worked in the medical education industry for almost eight years, helping universities and hospitals transition to digital learning and teaching. I was so impressed by how AMBOSS is expanding and growing internationally.
When the time came, I joined AMBOSS to be part of the exciting journey and continue my passion, and experience in spreading the best knowledge that empowers learners and educators through the latest technology.
What’s the best thing about working in B2B here?
What I love most about my job, and I always tell people about it, is that no two days ever feel the same. I love being able to go out and meet with a wide array of professors and administrators.
I’m also proud of my role because I have the opportunity to contribute to projects that make a huge difference in the world — we’re putting an amazing product into the hands of tomorrow’s doctors.
Can you explain how your cross-functional team setup works? Who is part of it, and how do you work together?
As a B2B Partnership Manager, I have the chance to collaborate with various business functions across the company, from marketing and operations to technical stakeholders. Together, we ensure that our clients are properly supported through a successful, long-standing partnership.
What do Partnership Managers do for fun and team building?
Our team is based in different countries, so we’re used to holding our meetings virtually. But we also meet as a team in person from time to time to share our market experience and keep the momentum up as a team.
The most memorable day for me was when the international team came together from different continents across the world, and we cooked dinner together at the office. We had fun, made tons of memories, and cooked delicious dishes!
What would you say to someone looking to join the B2B team at AMBOSS?
I would say AMBOSS is a great place to work. We have one of the most open and inclusive cultures I’ve encountered in my career, which really brings out the best in all our employees.
